Automatic Deposit Options

What is Automatic Deposit?

Don't stand in line! Use our automatic deposit application to authorize the University to process your Pell, Scholars, SEOG, OHLAP, OTAG, Perkins, Lew Wentz, Lew Wentz Computer, Robey, Clark, Sells, Deloe, and Stafford cash awards (EFT Lender Only) against all current and prior Bursar charges.

What does our office do for you?

We will apply your authorized fee waivers, scholarships, Pell, Scholars, SEOG,OTAG, Perkins, Lew Wentz, Lew Wentz Computer, Robey, Clark, Sells, Deloe, and qualified Stafford loans to your Bursar account and send your refund, if any, to the financial institution (bank, S & L, or credit union) you designate. For the current semester, refunds will be deposited daily, starting the Tuesday before classes begin. Some awards may not have been received. When we receive these awards they will be processed and electronically transferred to your account within two working days.

How do I sign up?

Complete, sign and return our Automatic Deposit application along with a voided check or deposit slip. Use our automatic deposit application or stop by our office in Buchanan Hall Room 208. If you have any questions regarding automatic deposit options, you may e-mail them to autodeposit@ou.edu.

Why must I attach a voided check or deposit slip?

Our office uses the routing information from these forms to ensure your money is transmitted to the correct bank. If you do not have a deposit slip for your savings account, send us the bank name, address and routing number with your savings account number.

I closed my account. What do I do now?

Notify the Bursar's Office immediately! Call our office at 405-325-1434 or complete a new Automatic Deposit application and send it as soon as possible. Deposits transmitted to a closed or wrong account will take approximately ten (10) working days to recieve and disburse the money to you.

Why would I not receive my refund?

  • Financial Aid has not completed your financial aid package.
  • You are not enrolled in the appropriate number of hours for which your aid was awarded.
  • Your account was closed or incorrect.
  • Our office has not received a completed Automatic Deposit application.
  • Our office has not received your financial aid award from your lender.
  • Your lending bank is not an EFT Lender.
  • Your Perkins and Institutional loans will not be electronically transferred if you have not completed a pre-loan information sheet, co-signer information sheets, and/or signed your note for this academic year.

Important - Due to the starting and ending dates of the summer mini-sessions, we are currently unable to offer automatic deposit for the Summer Semester.
